NRG beat Swole Patrol in London

NRG beat Swole Patrol on Nuke, 16-10, at Twickenham Stadium in London, to get the Americas Minor underway.

NRG and Swole Patrol kicked the Americas Minor off on Nuke, with the former taking the pistol round after a play on the lower bombsite that their rivals were unable to stop. NRG then tried an A split after flashing yard and trying to run into garage, but Derrick "⁠LILMAN⁠" Boyne and Ryan "⁠freakazoid⁠" Abadir downed the Terrorists before they could get to the site. Swole Patrol then took the following two rounds, with the last one seeing Ethan "⁠Ethan⁠" Arnold unable to stop defuse in time in a 1vs2 despite eventually killing both enemies.

NRG win the Group A opener against Swole Patrol

The map quickly started to slip away from Swole Patrol's grip as NRG warmed up and took four rounds in a row for a 7-3 lead before Samuel "⁠SileNt⁠" Portillo & co. could reply. Having reset Swole Patrol the following round, NRG took control of the economy late in the half and closed it out 10-5.

Ethan and Tsvetelin "⁠CeRq⁠" Dimitrov, with a triple and a double, respectively, stopped Swole Patrol on their tracks. Having won the anti-ecos and the first gun round, NRG took the 14-5 lead to create a large cushion. SileNt was then able to win a 1vs2 after plant on A, which became a catalyst as Swole Patrol tried to bring the deficit back winning several rounds in a row. With 14-10 on the board, Ethan was able to win a 1vs1 against SileNt on the A site to defuse the bomb and get his team on match point. NRG then closed it out the following round, to take the match 16-10.
